Indian Minister of External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said the visits of Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to New Delhi and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Cairo this year contributed to further promoting historic bilateral partnership ties binding the two countries.
In a Tweet published on the Indian embassy’s website Sunday to greet the Egyptian people and Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of July 23rd Revolution, Jaishankar said: “This year’s milestone visits of President Sisi to India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Egypt have upgraded our time-tested partnership.”
“Warm felicitations to Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, and the Government & people of Egypt on their National Day,” the minister said.
“Confident that our strategic partnership would keep advancing,” he added.
