The National Council for Women (NCW) launched on Wednesday the ‘Women in Technology’ initiative, in co-operation with Huawei, a leading provider of information and communications technology solutions.
Huawei’s ‘Women in Tech’ initiative aims to share some of the stories of female employees and to increase the visibility of gender equality issues.
In a press statement, NCW Chairperson Maya Morsy lauded the partnership with Huawei Company in the field of information technology and communications.
She stressed the importance of empowering women in the ICT sector in Egypt, which contributes to raising awareness of the empowering tech opportunities for women.
Maben, the Director of Public Affairs and Communications Department, Huawei Egypt, asserted the company’s interest in empowering women in the ICT sector and stimulating their participation in the digital economy.
The initiative aims at exploring the social value of technologies, using internet and digital technologies to improve women’s wellbeing.
