CAIRO – Egypt’s National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) signed on Saturday memos of understanding and co-operation protocols to annex four non-governmental organizations to the alliance.
The move comes in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to increase the number of initiatives and untraditional development activities with the aim of doubling the number of beneficiaries, especially needy people in vulnerable villages.
The alliance said, in a statement, that the move comes as part of its strategy to expand partnerships between it and NGOs to improve living conditions of targeted brackets of society, boost development plans and make sure that subsidy reaches those who deserve it.
Since being launched in March 2022, the alliance targets unifying potentials and efforts of its members to achieve hoped-for development in line with President Sisi’s vision for developing the countryside and building new Republic, the statement said.
