EgyptAir, the national air carrier, finished transporting the guests participating in the COP27 Climate Conference, which started in Sharm el-Sheikh on November 6 and ended November 19.
The company, the official carrier of the conference guests, transported nearly 70,000 visitors on board 275 flights from Cairo International Airport to Sharm el-Sheikh Airport and vice versa. International and domestic flights at Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh airports were regular and well-organised despite the intensity of operation.
Board Chairman of the Holding Company for EgyptAir, Eng. Yehia Zakaria, said that the national company succeeded in offering high-quality services and better facilities to delegations participating in the global climate conference through transporting them to and from conference sessions.
EgyptAir has also performed a prominent and pioneering role in achieving climate conservation initiatives through the use of biofuels, in an attempt to reach zero emissions, Zakaria said.
EgyptAir had participated in two pavilions in the Green and Blue zones, through which it provided various services to the guests of the COP27 conference.
The EgyptAir pavilion at the conference witnessed a turnout from participants of different nationalities to amend reservations, inquire about EgyptAir services and view its programmes offered to the conference guests.
During the conference, an advertisement film about eco-tourism and the city of Sharm el-Sheikh was shown on EgyptAir flights to promote the great event on the land of Egypt.
