Exchange firms attract foreign currency worth nearly EGP12.3b since March

CAIRO – The National Bank of Egypt’s Al-Ahly Exchange, Banque Misr’s Misr Exchange and Banque du Caire’s Cairo Exchange have managed to attract foreign currency at a total sum of EGP12.386 billion since March 6.

Abdel Mageed Mohi Eddin, head of Al-Ahly Exchange, told MENA on Friday that there was a big turnout on exchanging foreign and Arab currencies in Egyptian pound, totaling at EGP2.183 billion at Al-Ahly Exchange.

The value of foreign and Arab currencies exchanged at Misr Exchange and Cairo Exchange in Egyptian pound hit some EGP9.916 billion.
