CAIRO – Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry discussed with Portuguese Foreign Minister João Cravinho means of fostering bilateral relations.
This came on the sidelines of the 42nd ordinary session of the Executive Council of the African Union (AU) in Addis Ababa, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid.
During the meeting, they welcomed intensifying political consultations through exchanging visits as well as holding the second round of the joint committee led by the foreign ministers in order to enhance economic and trade cooperation.
They also agreed on the importance of holding dialogue between the African and European continents as Cravinho expressed his country’s keenness on enhancing trilateral cooperation with Egypt in Africa through the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) and the Portuguese Institute for Cooperation and Language (Camões) in the fields of health, education and irrigation.
