Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly received a phone call on Monday from Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to discuss preparations for the third session of the Egyptian-Bahraini Joint Government Committee for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Co‑operation, scheduled to be held in Cairo later this month.

The two sides reaffirmed the strength of the historical and fraternal ties between Egypt and Bahrain and their commitment to further expanding co‑operation across various fields in line with the aspirations of both countries and peoples.

Madbouly conveyed the greetings of President Abdel Fattah El‑Sisi to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and reiterated Egypt’s steadfast support for Bahrain’s security and stability, stressing that Gulf security remains an integral part of Egyptian and Arab national security.

The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of building on the outcomes of the Bahraini Crown Prince’s visit to Egypt in September 2025, particularly in the economic, trade and technology sectors, and expressed hope that the upcoming joint committee meeting would provide fresh momentum for bilateral co‑operation.

For his part, Prince Salman praised Egypt’s regional and international role and its efforts to support security and stability in the region, while underscoring the importance of continued co‑ordination between the two countries on issues of mutual interest.

The call also focused on ways to boost trade and investment flows, facilitate market access for Egyptian and Bahraini products, and implement practical steps to increase bilateral trade and investment. The two sides expressed confidence that the forthcoming committee meeting would produce concrete outcomes to advance economic, scientific and technological co‑operation.

At the conclusion of the call, Prince Salman invited Madbouly to visit Bahrain, and the Prime Minister welcomed the invitation, with both sides agreeing to co-ordinate arrangements for the visit.
