CAIRO – The Arab League (AL) has called on the international community to seriously and immediately act to stop the Israeli war against the Palestinian people and ensure the delivery of humanitarian assistance to the Gaza Strip.
The pan-Arab organization called for implementing a UNGA’s resolution in its extraordinary session on October 26 regarding Israel’s illegal acts of violence, in addition to the protection of civilians in the occupied Palestinian lands along with abiding by legal and humanitarian commitments.
In a press release recently on the 106th anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, the AL, according to MENA, urged the UN Security Council to shoulder its responsibilities toward the application of international law and provision of international protection for the Palestinian people.
The establishment of an independent Palestinian State within the June 4, 1967 borders, with al-Quds as its capital is the only way to achieve stability and security in the region, it asserted.
