Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas affirmed that Egypt is always working on boosting co-operation with African countries in various fields of mutual concern, notably air transport.
This statement was made during the minister’s meeting on Thursday with Ambassador of Sierra Leone in Cairo, Sadiq Silla, and his accompanying delegation.
Minister Abbas stressed the importance of developing relations between Cairo and Freetown in all civil aviation activities.
During the meeting, the minister of civil aviation hailed ties binding the two countries in all fields, describing them as firm, historic and long-standing.
He said that the Ministry of Civil Aviation and all its subsidiaries are keen to transfer Egyptian expertise to Sierra Leone.
Abbas said that his ministry is ready to open new promising vistas of co-operation between Cairo and Freetown in aviation.
For his part, Silla thanked the minister of civil aviation for warm welcome, stressing that Egypt is interested in strengthening co-operation relations with African countries.
The Sierra Leonean envoy hailed the comprehensive renaissance Egypt is witnessing in various fields, especially the civil aviation sector.
He said that his country was looking forward to expanding horizons of co-operation with Egypt, in addition to benefiting from Egyptian expertise in various fields of air transport, in a way that achieves mutual interest of the two friendly countries and peoples.
