Cairo- Egyptian Health and Population Minister Hala Zayed said the World Health Organization (WHO) is backing the Egyptian efforts in manufacturing the coronavirus vaccine.
During a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, she noted that the curve of coronavirus cases is going down.
She also reviewed the outcome of her recent visit to Geneva as well as her meeting with WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
The talks with the WHO chief reviewed measures for inking the international treaty for pandemic preparedness within the coming few months, hailing Egypt’s adoption of the deal.
During the meeting, the health minister highlighted that Egypt finalized all needed steps to get a certificate that it is free from hepatitis virus C.
The minister thanked the WHO for its continued support for Egypt’s efforts to eradicate polio.
