Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has decided that May 5 and 6 will be paid vacations for civil servants and the private sector on the occasions of Labour Day and Sham el Nessim (an Egyptian national festival marking the beginning of spring).
Employees at ministries, government facilities, public authorities, local units and public sector and public business companies, as well as the private sector should be given days off on the first Sunday and Monday of May.
