Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry urged on Monday the developed countries to respect their predges and commitments to provide thep necessary finance for the developing countries to handle the threat of climate change.
This came during the virtual participation of Shoukry in the inaugural session of the pre-COP28 ministerial preparatory conference held on Monday in Abu Dhabi.
Shoukry said that COP28, due in Dubai within the coming few weeks, is a crucial event that necessitates a collective agreement on strict steps for comprehensive, just and effective handling of climate change.
