Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Abdel Aziz Konsowa affirmed that the ministry places great importance on international educational projects as part of efforts to enhance Egypt’s higher education system.
The minister described the French National University in Egypt as an important educational model that reflects the state’s strategy to support modern national universities and strengthen co-operation with prestigious international academic institutions
Konsowa made these remarks as he reviewed on Tuesday progress on the new campus of the French National University in Egypt in El Shorouk City.
The visit was attended by the French Ambassador to Egypt Éric Chevallier, alongside ministry officials and representatives of the executing companies.
During the tour, Konsowa reviewed construction progress across the project’s academic and service facilities.
He stressed the need to accelerate implementation and provide an integrated educational environment that meets international standards.
Konsowa said that the university will offer advanced academic programmes aligned with regional and international labour market needs.
The minister also called for intensified work while fully adhering to approved technical and engineering standards to ensure the first phase of the project is completed on schedule.
For his part, Ambassador Chevallier said educational co-operation between Egypt and France is witnessing notable progress.
He added that the university project reflects the two countries’ shared commitment to building long-term academic partnerships and promoting scientific and cultural co-operation.
