State Minister for Military Production Salah Gomblat, Electricity Minister Mahmoud Esmat and Qalyubia Governor Hossam Abdel Fattah visited Benha Electronics Company to review production lines and explore joint work in research and renewable energy. The tour highlighted Egypt’s drive to localise technology, expand clean energy manufacturing and strengthen integration among national institutions.
Officials inspected facilities for LED lamps, smart meters, tablets, SMT assembly, solar panels and testing labs. Gomblat stressed maximising technological and research capacities to support national industry. Esmat pointed to Egypt’s energy strategy targeting 45% renewables by 2028, noting the importance of localising electrical equipment production.
Governor Abdel Fattah praised Benha Electronics as a leading industrial hub in Qalyubia, producing high-quality products that rival global standards. The visit concluded with a meeting urging staff to innovate and deliver competitive products to boost Egypt’s industrial base and export potential.
