Luxor’s hot air balloon airport on the west bank witnessed the operation of 41 balloon flights on Sunday, carrying more than 890 tourists of various nationalities.
Ahmed Aboud, a representative of the hot air balloon companies, said the governorate received visitors from multiple countries celebrating World Tourism Day and enjoying Luxor’s favourable weather and renowned archaeological sites. He noted that hot air balloon tourism continues to enjoy strong confidence among visitors, supported by the use of highly experienced pilots by Egyptian operators.
Passengers on the flights enjoyed aerial views of the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens, the Workers’ Village, the Ramesseum, the Colossi of Memnon, the Nile and surrounding farmland.
