Egypt’s Transport Minister, Kamel el-Wazir, said yesterday that Egypt is keen on fostering co-operation with South Korea in all fields of transport, including in the modernisation of railway signal systems.
During a meeting with South Korean Ambassador to Egypt, Kim Yong-hyon, at his ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, the minister added that Egypt is also interested in co-operating with South Korea in localising the manufacture of train carriages.
Talks between the minister and the ambassador tackled a wide range of issues, including means of enhancing co-operation in all fields of transport.
Ambassador Kim, for his part, said his country is interested in increasing co-operation with Egypt in a number of sectors, including transport.
He expressed joy at visiting the Ministry of Transport new premises in the New Administrative Capital.
The ambassador also praised the progress of work in constructing the new capital and the ingenuity of Egyptian construction engineers.
