CAIRO – International Co-operation Minister Rania al-Mashat discussed with CEO of the Sovereign Fund of Egypt (SFE) Ayman Soliman the possibility of organising a joint co-operation platform to shed light on the SFE’s role to lure local and foreign investments and stimulate investment opportunities in the state-owned assets.
The platform was launched by the International Co-operation Ministry in 2020 and aimed to create integration among the efforts of the various development partners, said Mashat.
During the meeting, Mashat and Soliman discussed ways of boosting joint co-operation within the framework of the crucial role played by the International Co-operation Ministry to support joint ties among the national bodies and the development partners.
The SFE is open to partnerships which are in line with the State’s approach towards the increase of the private sector’s participation in the development efforts, said Soliman during the meeting.
The joint co-operation platform with the development partners will represent an opportunity to probe partnerships opportunities and joint work with international institutions, he added.
The State attaches prior importance to increasing the participation of the private sector, he affirmed.
