The Egyptian Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Ayman Ashour held a meeting with a delegation of Britain’s University of Southampton to probe means on boosting scientific and academic co-operation between Egyptian and British universities.
The minister on Thursday lauded the depth of ties with the UK, underscoring the need to exchange scientific experience between Egyptian and British universities.
Egypt is always keen to upgrade higher education systems, the minister said, shedding light on the Higher Education Ministry’s vision on developing higher education and scientific research domains.
The delegation members welcomed co-operation with the Higher Education Ministry in different domains, lauding the great leap made by Egypt in the fields of higher education and scientific research over the past years.
