CAIRO – Egypt’s Planning and Economic Development Minister Hala el-Saeed affirmed the government’s keenness to develop the innovative capabilities of the youth nationwide.
This comes as part of efforts to ensure the governance related to boosting the implementation of the sustainable development goals at the national level and benefit from the youth’s ideas regarding the areas of focus of the “youth for development” initiative, she added.
The minister made the remarks on Thursday during opening the third training day organised as part of the youth for development initiative, held by the Planning Ministry in co-operation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
This event is held at the conclusion of a series of training activities provided for the public universities students and researchers participating in the initiative.
The initiative covers several areas including the economic and social empowerment of women, environment-friendly projects and supporting the health system.
