CAIRO – Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli said the National Strategy of 2025–2032 is a roadmap to enhance role of youth as active participants in the development process.

In a recorded speech delivered Tuesday, during the launch ceremony of the National Youth and Sports Strategy 2025–2032, organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports the prime minister said, the government, under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has given special attention to the youth and sports sectors and their pivotal role in building the modern state, shaping generational awareness, and driving economic and social progress.

Madbouli said the strategy – prepared by the Ministry of Youth and Sports within the framework of the Ministerial Group for Human Development, in partnership with various relevant ministries, United Nations (UN) organisations, the private sector and civil society – represents a clear roadmap to enhance the role of youth as active participants in the development process and to maximise the role of sports as a form of soft power and a source of national income.

Addressing the youth and athletes of Egypt, Madbouli voiced pleasure over participating – remotely – in this important occasion marking the launch of the country’s first-ever national strategy for the youth and sports sector.

He said the strategy is part of the State’s comprehensive efforts to achieve sustainable human development, with a central focus on empowering the Egyptian people, especially the youth, coinciding with International Youth Day.

The State is determined to turn this strategy into tangible reality through close follow-up, inter-agency coordination and investment in the capabilities of young people as they are Egypt’s true wealth, said the primer.

Concluding his remarks, Madbouli extended his appreciation to all those who contributed to preparing the document, voicing his anticipation of the positive outcomes it will yield for the benefit of the nation and its youth.
