CAIRO – Trade exchange between Egypt and China totalled approximately $15 billion in 2020, Head of the Egyptian Commercial Office in Beijing Ahmed Zaki said.
Egypt’s exports to China totalled some $1 billion in the past year, while Egypt’s imports from the East Asian country registered nearly $14 billion during the same period, Zaki added during a webinar that was organised on Wednesday by the Food Export Council.
He noted that most Egyptian exports to China are agricultural crops, as well as semi-manufactured industrial and engineering products, while most Egyptian imports from China are final products and industrial inputs.
