President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi called upon the government to undertake accurate documentation of all state’s efforts during the past years in order to provide detailed data on the comprehensive and in-depth development efforts in all aspects of life in Egypt.

The President’s remarks came during his meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala Al-Saeed, Chairman of the National Council for Women Maya Morsi, Chairman of the National Council for Women and Head of the Economic Policy Centre at the National Planning Institute Khaled Zakaria Mohamed Amin, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.

During the meeting, the President said that these efforts would support the monitoring capabilities as well as the analysis and accuracy of the indicators issued by the specialised institutions regarding the development process in Egypt.

The meeting also reviewed government’s efforts to support the launch of the Human Development Report in Egypt, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme(UNDP) in Cairo. The report was suspended over the past ten years since 2010.

The aforementioned report depends on the conceptual framework for achieving comprehensive development in economic, political, social and cultural fields, enhancing human development, investment and economic and social reform as well as promoting environmental sustainability in order to achieve the sustainable development goals.

The report is based on several main axes that include the economic reforms and social protection programmes aimed at achieving a more comprehensive social contract in Egypt, investment in human capital through education, health and decent housing, in addition to the axis of the new renaissance of Egyptian women.

This comes in addition to managing environmental protection systems and developing the governance process to create an effective system for managing state and society affairs.
