As a continuation of making its products and services inclusive for all customers, Egypt Post has launched a mobile application called “Yalla App”, which will be the region’s first true App, with a very rich set of financial and non-financial services.
The launching ceremony of the App, implemented in co-operation with Visa and PaySky, was attended Wednesday by Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat.
During the launching ceremony, Talaat said that the move came as part of the Ministry’s strategic vision for building the digital Egypt.
Egypt Post plays a crucial role in implementing programs and initiatives of this ambitious strategy, he went on to say.
The newly-launched App will empower the vast majority of Egyptians with solutions that will enable them better manage their money and lead a more efficient life, added the minister.
Egypt Post won the Innovation Award from the Euro-Mediterranean Postal Union for “Yalla” App”, he went on to say.
Delivering a speech during the ceremony, Chairperson of Egypt Post Sherif Farouk said that the newly-launched App came as part of Egypt Post’s efforts to develop and provide services that target different segments of customers.
It also came as a continuation of a series of successes achieved by Egypt Post on the regional and international levels during the last period, he further said.
He also said that the newly-launched App also represents a clear embodiment of what it achieved on the ground in terms of postal, financial, and government services development, applying financial inclusion and digital transformation to all business procedures.
