RAMALLAH – Palestinians took to streets of the West Bank city of Ramallah Saturday evening to commemorate the 48th anniversary of Land Day – an annual event commemorating protests that broke out on March 30, 1976 against Israeli government land seizures in which six Arabs were killed by Israeli security forces.
The event has been commemorated worldwide by Palestinians and their supporters ever since as Land Day, a symbol of the Palestinian national struggle.
Raising Palestinian flags, the protesters chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip and denouncing Israeli crimes against the residents of the Gaza Strip.
Also, marches took place in Nablus and Bethlehem in rejection of the continued Israeli aggression on Gaza.
