CAIRO – Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) Elizabeth L. Dibble praised Egypt’s continued support of regional and international peace and stability.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on its official Facebook page, the MFO director general, voiced her appreciation of the Egyptian authorities’ unwavering backing to MFO a matter which helped it in carrying out its tasks successfully.
This came during her visit of Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA) to stand on its activities and work domains, stressing her keenness on promoting bilateral cooperation.
MFO Director General’s Representative (DGR) in Cairo Bradley C. Lynch accompanied the MFO chief during the visit, the statement read.
For his part, CCCPA Director General Ahmed Nehad Abdel-Latif reviewed Egypt’s pioneering role in preserving peace, as Egypt ranks sixth on the list of the United Nations peacekeeping operations’ largest contributing countries, highlighting Egyptian women’s tangible contribution in this respect, it said.
The CCCPA director general highlighted the center’s role in the field of peacekeeping training, along with ongoing fruitful cooperation with the United Nations, the Arab League and the African Union, according to the statement.
