Cabinet approves decisions on railway linkage project between Egypt, Sudan

The cabinet approved – during a meeting on Wednesday under Premier Moustafa Madbouli a number of important decisions, including a draft presidential decree approving a grant deal with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

The grant deal is meant to contribute to preparing feasibility study at the technical, economic and environmental levels of the railway linkage project between Egypt and Sudan.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on a grant deal between Egypt and the French Development Agency on a program for transforming financial systems for climate (TFSC).

The program supports eco-friendly projects in 17 states in Africa and Latin America.

The cabinet also approved a presidential decree on a simplified agreement between Egypt and the French Development Agency on developing Tanta-Mansoura-Damietta railways to upgrade passenger and cargo movement and improve traffic safety systems.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on allocating two plots of state-owned lands for Aswan governorate to be used in establishing a comprehensive urban development project.

The cabinet also approved a draft presidential decree on allocating a number of state-owned lands for Sohag governorate to be used for “Decent Life” projects.
