MS Prakash, Vice President & General Manager, Africa – Emerson Automation Solutions said that Emerson is a global technology and engineering company that has been at the forefront of innovation in the industrial automation and process control space for over a century. In recent years, the company has been actively involved in digital transformation projects in the refinery, terminal, and upstream segments.
He added Our presence in the Egyptian market has seen tremendous growth, and with Egypt being the third-largest gas producer in Africa, a solid infrastructure along with process automation are vital for the existence and growth of this sector.
Most Recently we have been helping our customers from across the Hydrocarbons & Power sector such as SOPC, APC, APRC, Khalda Petroleum etc. modernize their automation infrastructure and digitally transform their operations by leveraging Emerson’s technologies.
What Emerson does is provide digital transformation that is achievable, scalable and rooted in the application of technology to a clear and identified business need.
Regarding Egyptian market he added, Egypt is very important due to its strategic location, large reserves of hydrocarbons, and established infrastructure for production and transportation. Egypt’s location at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia makes it a key hub for energy transit between regions.
The country’s energy industry is supported by the massive offshore gas fields in the Mediterranean, which provide significant reserves of natural gas for domestic consumption and export. Naturally, this makes Egypt a critical market for our growth ambitions across the Middle East & Africa region. Our expertise in diversified industries across the automation technology and industrial software spectrum makes us a natural partner as Egypt transitions through the next phase of its development.
Emerson’s cooperation with the Egyptian government has also extended to other areas, such as the development of renewable energy projects and modernizing the country’s industrial automation infrastructure. Most recently, Emerson has been heavily involved in modernizing the Hydrocarbon Storage, Export and Distribution infrastructure which is critical for Egypt.
