July 28, 1973 — The funeral of Engineer Ismail El Shafei, brother of Vice President Hussein El Shafei, took place in Alexandria.
The procession was led by President Mohamed Anwar El Sadat, accompanied by senior state officials, including Vice President Mahmud Fawzy and Speaker of the People’s Assembly El Sayed Hafez Badawy.
