Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday received a phone call from Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to probe the latest developments related to the Palestinian-Israeli escalation.
They reviewed the current intensive contacts with all relevant parties to call for deescalation and defuse the crisis to save the lives of civilians, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
Both leaders also underlined the need to propel efforts on achieving just peace in the region based on the two-state solution under the relevant resolutions of the international legitimacy.
