Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the government is paying a greater attention to supporting and encouraging direct foreign investment in Egypt.
The government is seeking to boost the growth of export sectors and develop outsourcing industry and cross-border IT services, the premier said.
Madbouli’s remarks came while visiting the Smart Village Thursday, where he inspected five major global companies working in exporting IT and outsourcing services.
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat and CEO of Information Technology Industry Development Agency(ITIDA) Ahmed el Zaher were present.
During the tour, Madbouli inspected the premises of US’s “Pixelogic Media” company for IT and digital arts.
He got acquainted with the work system of the company and listened to a detailed explanation by the company’s General Manager Tayssir Hawary who said that “Pixelogic Media” helps media and entertainment customers build more efficient supply chains, more valuable products, and larger global audiences and has six centers worldwide.
The Egyptian government is very interested in promoting the outsourcing industry and aims to boost the competition edge in the fields of research, development and surplus value services, said the minister.
Zaher said that the companies are achieving exportation revenues for Egypt, worth 770 million dollars annually.
