CAIRO – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has stressed the importance of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives during the activities of the recently concluded “Upper Egypt week” on providing residential units for youth at affordable rental prices.
Madbouli’s statements came during a meeting on Sunday to follow up on the president’s directives on making available 100,000 furnished flats for rent by newly-married couples.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Housing, Utilities and New Urban Communities Assem El Gazzar and CEO of the Social Housing Fund Mai Abdel Hamid.
Minister Gazzar reviewed a study prepared by the social housing fund and the mechanisms through which the proposed units will be financed and distributed to youth ahead of referring this study to the president.
