Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called upon the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) to maintain ongoing efforts in various fields, in order to meet the requirements of the state’s sustainable development plans and in accordance with the policy of deepening local industrialisation, transferring and localising modern technology in Egypt and keeping pace with the successive scientific development in the industrial field.
The President’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said.
During the meeting, the President reviewed the AOI activities, plans and projects in various civil and military fields. He was also briefed on the organisation’s development strategy, especially with regard to increasing the production and technological capabilities of its factories, and modernising production lines in accordance with the fourth industrial revolution.
This comes in addition to training human resources to use modern equipment with high productivity and accuracy. The president called for paying attention to technical research, especially through the organisation’s Engineering Training Academy and enhancing cooperation with local and foreign private sector companies.
