Egypt’s Finance Minister Mohammed Maait has issued a decree No. 386 for the year of 2023 to put the fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth stages of the unified tax system on wages into effect.
President of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA) Fayez Al-Dabaani said the application of the unified system on wages and pay taxes is part of the government and the Finance Ministry’s strategy for the automation and digitization of the tax system.
Such moves aim to simplify tax-related procedures, enhance tax commitment and enable all civil servants to review their payrolls and due taxes.
