The Egyptian Airports Company is advancing expansion efforts at Hurghada International Airport to elevate service quality and manage rising passenger volumes during the winter travel season.
Chairman Wael Al-Nashar recently inspected the domestic departure and arrival halls to evaluate progress, ensure operational readiness, and verify that facilities meet strict safety, security, and performance standards.

The ongoing developments focus on maximising available terminal space to streamline travel procedures.
Key upgrades include expanding the sterile area in domestic departures and reconfiguring passenger flow routes and service counters to eliminate bottlenecks during peak hours. During his tour of processing areas, aircraft aprons, and operational facilities, Al-Nashar highlighted the importance of aligning infrastructure improvements with real-time demand to maintain smooth movement and high service standards throughout the airport.

These enhancements reflect a broader strategy by the Egyptian Airports Company to modernise aviation infrastructure across the country.
By increasing capacity and improving overall efficiency, Hurghada International Airport is strengthening its role as a vital gateway for Egypt’s growing tourism sector.
