An extraordinary joint Islamic-Arab summit on the Palestinian crisis kicked off in Riyadh Saturday in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and a galaxy of leaders of Muslim and other Arab nations.
The summit started with recitation of versus of the Holy Qur’an.
The participation of president Sisi in the summit falls within the framework of Egypt’s key role since the eruption of the crisis to reach a ceasefire, ensure the safe and unfettered delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as well as push forward the path of reviving peace and reaching a just and sustained settlement to the Palestinian issue on the basis of the two state solution, in line with international legitimacy resolutions.
The summit aims to unify efforts and reach a collective stance representing the joint Arab and Muslim will regrading the dangerous and unprecedented developments in the Palestinian territories.
