Egyptian Minister of Emigration Nabila Makram had an open dialogue on Saturday with about 200 Egyptian expats via clubhouse application on the state’s achievements over the past seven years.
The minister also reviewed her ministry’s efforts in several files aiming to get Egyptian expats to be engaged in development plans.
Makram said “We are keen to benefit from all social media programs to keep in touch with Egyptian expats.”
She said the Emigration Ministry was set up to meet the needs of Egyptian expats and this reflects the interest of the political leadership in taking care of Egyptians abroad.
She referred to the presidential initiative “Speak Arabic or “Etkalem Arabi” which is meant to protect the Egyptian identity and promote the sense of patriotism.
She noted that repeated calls by Egyptian expats to offer investment certificates to allow them to contribute more to mega national projects, especially in the New Administrative Capital, Alamein city, etc. underlines the success of the Egyptian economy which realized unprecedented development rates.
She noted that there is cooperation between the Emigration Ministry and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) to offer all needed facilities for Egyptian expats to invest in the country.
She added that Egyptians abroad will have a chance to contribute to developing Egyptian villages under “Decent Life” presidential initiative.
