EgyptAir is set to host the 38th International Air Transport Association (IATA) Ground Handling Conference (IGHC) this coming Tuesday, marking a significant milestone for the regional aviation industry.

This global event will bring together more than 1,000 participants, including top experts, airline executives, airport operators, and technology providers from around the world.

The gathering serves as a vital platform for industry leaders to discuss the evolving landscape of ground operations and the future of the global aviation supply chain.

The conference agenda is designed to address the most pressing trends and challenges facing the industry today.

Specialised sessions will focus on enhancing safety standards, driving digital transformation, and implementing environmental sustainability initiatives.

By bringing together thought leaders and innovators, the event aims to improve operational efficiency to keep pace with the rapid growth of international air travel.

Attendees will also have access to a dedicated trade exhibition showcasing the latest technical innovations and equipment in ground handling.

The selection of Egypt by IATA to host this 38th edition underscores the country’s successful efforts in modernising its infrastructure. Under the sponsorship of EgyptAir Ground Services, the event highlights Egypt’s position as home to some of the largest and most advanced airports in Africa.

This international recognition reflects the state’s strategic vision to establish the nation as a premier regional hub for civil aviation and logistics in the Middle East and Africa.

Captain Ahmed Adel expressed his immense pride in hosting this international forum, viewing it as a testament to Egypt’s prominent place on the global aviation map.

He extended his congratulations to the staff of EgyptAir Ground Services, noting that this achievement confirms the company’s ability to deliver world-class services that align with the highest international standards.

According to Adel, the conference provides a unique opportunity to exchange expertise and attract new investments, further strengthening Egypt’s role as a strategic gateway for the aviation industry.
