The Egyptian-Turkish joint naval exercise “Friendship Sea 2026” has begun in Egypt and will continue for several days in the Northern Fleet’s area of operations. Naval forces from both countries are taking part in the event.

The exercise opened with theoretical and practical lectures to harmonise combat concepts and procedures between the two sides. These were followed by training activities aimed at enhancing the skills of participating personnel.
Several Turkish naval units arrived at Alexandria Naval Base in recent days to take part in the drills.

The exercise reflects growing military co-operation between the Egyptian and Turkish armed forces. It also aims to promote the exchange of expertise and strengthen co-ordination between their naval forces.
