President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call on Wednesday with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman.

According to the Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Mohammed El-Shennawy, President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s support for the sovereignty and stability of the Sultanate Oman and all Gulf states under the current circumstances, stressing Egypt’s condemnation and firm rejection of Iranian attacks on Arab countries. For his part, His Majesty Sultan Haitham expressed his thanks to President Sisi and his deep appreciationfor Egypt’s consistent support for the stability and security of the Gulf states.

The Presidency spokesman added that President Sisi reviewed Egypt’s intensive diplomatic efforts at both regional and international levels to de-escalate tensions and push for an end to the ongoing conflict as soon as possible. He expressed Egypt’s appreciation and support for Oman’s mediation between the United States and Iran, highlighting Egypt’s view that political and diplomatic solutions must be prioritised to resolve crises in the region. Both leaders agreed to continue consultations and coordination to strengthen efforts aimed at de-escalation and restoring regional stability.

President Sisi emphasised the shared destiny and unity of Egypt and the Gulf in safeguarding national security. He underlined the importance of collective Arab action to confront serious regional challenges and to reinforce the concept of joint Arab national security, ensuring the protection of the sovereignty and stability of all Arab states.
