Egypt expressed its heartfelt condolences to brotherly Iraq over the victims of the fire that erupted in Al Kut city in eastern Iraq on Wednesday.
In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Egyptian Expatriates reiterated Egypt’s full solidarity with Iraq over this tragedy.
Egypt, both its government and people, offers heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of brotherly Iraq, as well as to the families of the victims, the statement said.
Egypt also wished a speedy recovery to all wounded, it added.
A massive fire flared up in a five-story hypermarket, claiming the lives of 61 people.
