Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi on Saturday received Bulgarian Ambassador in Cairo Deyan Angelov Katratchev and his accompanying high-level delegation to discuss ways of boosting vistas of cooperation in different manufacturing domains.
The meeting emanated from the importance of boosting the joint strategic partnership on all fronts in a move meant to serve the interests of the two countries, said Morsi.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of cooperating in several civilian fields including equipment and machines of digital control workshops, in addition to military manufacturing.
The Ministry of State for Military Production is very interested in capitalizing on the Bulgarian expertise in several areas, the Egyptian official said, adding the ministry is always keen on cooperating with different global companies in transferring state-of-the-art technologies and strengthening the manufacturing sector in Egypt.
In turn, Katratchev asserted Egypt-Bulgaria ties are long-standing and always progressing in the various fields.
The two countries share mutual understanding about the necessity of promoting bilateral cooperation in industrial and economic spheres, according to him.
He said he is looking forward to opening new vistas for investment and cooperation between Egyptian military production companies and their counterparts in Bulgaria.
The Bulgarian diplomat commended the ministry’s painstaking efforts aimed at backing the implementation of national and development projects in Egypt.
He also hailed Egypt’s regional pivotal role and efforts the country is exerting to combat terrorism in the Arab region and the whole Middle East.
