The Administrative Court has decided to cross out the names of actors Amr Waked and Khaled Abul Naga from the list of members of the Theatrical Professions Syndicate, MENA reported.
Both Waked and Abul Naga have not performed any role since 2017 and have not paid annual fees of the syndicate since then as well, the court said Sunday.
The court added that both actors had also been accused of joining a terrorist group and had appeared while attending a US Congress session probing human rights in Egypt without being mandated by the Egyptian government to do so.
The court thus overruled challenges by Waked and Abul Naga and upheld the decision of the Theatrical Professions Syndicate in this regard.
