The Ministry of Finance is hard at work to simplify concepts and procedures to unify customs transactions and facilitate investors,Minister Ahmed Kouchouk said on Sunday.
He also highlighted the goal of raising customs awareness among employees and businesses as part of a comprehensive institutional reform vision.
Kouchouk confirmed the issuance of 17 updated reference guides to advance customs facilitation, providing clearer explanations and easier access.
These will be available both in print and electronically to ensure accuracy of data and support efforts to improve the investment climate.

The guides cover unified procedures for pre‑clearance, manifests, free zones, authorisedeconomic operators, bonded warehouses and temporary admission, Customs Authority Chairman Ahmed Amoui said.
They are the outcome of collective work by customs staff, who reviewed and classified all rules and procedures, turning them into a practical reference that supports trade facilitation and strengthens partnership with investors and the business community, he added.
This initiative reflects Egypt’s commitment to streamlining customs, supporting investors, and enhancing trade competitiveness, he noted.
