Dalia Khorshid, group chief executive and managing director of Beltone Holding, has been featured on Forbes Middle East’s “Sustainability Leaders 2026” list for the third consecutive year, ranking third in the financial services category. Khorshid is one of 14 Egyptian leaders on this year’s list, which recognises 145 executives from across the region in 17 sectors.
The recognition reflects Beltone Holding’s continued focus on integrating sustainability into its financial and investment activities, through financing solutions and practical initiatives that support resource efficiency and encourage the transition towards more sustainable practices.
Beltone’s headquarters received Level 2 certification under the EDGE green building rating system in 2025, in recognition of its compliance with standards on energy, water and resource efficiency. Beltone Securities Brokerage has also obtained a licence from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to trade carbon emission reduction certificates and their futures contracts, becoming the first company in Egypt to receive such a licence.
In sustainable finance, Beltone Leasing and Factoring secured $20 million in financing in June 2025, with $10 million each from the SANAD Fund for MSME and the Green for Growth Fund, to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), enhance resource efficiency and expand clean energy solutions. Beltone has also developed six sustainable finance products covering energy efficiency, renewable energy, biogas, carbon certificates, green buildings and sustainable agriculture. In addition, it provides advisory services for transactions that support food security and develops investment banking services linked to sustainability.
Beltone’s efforts have also extended to raising environmental awareness among students, through educational programmes and interactive games designed to reinforce sustainability concepts. The programmes have reached more than 16,700 students across 100 schools in 15 governorates, reflecting Beltone’s commitment to environmental awareness beyond finance and investment.
Khorshid’s inclusion in the list for the third consecutive year comes amid the growing importance of sustainability in the financial sector. It highlights the role of executive leaders in developing financing solutions and initiatives that connect economic growth with environmental responsibility, supporting sustainable development efforts in Egypt and the region.
