The daughter of late Lt. Gen. Fouad Abu Zekri has thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for naming a corridor in the Mediterranean city of Alexandria after her father.
Speaking during the inauguration of the “Abu Zekri Corridor”, Laila Fouad said she is very grateful for that honor, which comes 50 years after the October War, in which her father was one of the leaders.
Sisi said it is such a “modest” honoring of one of the heroes of Egypt who served during the most difficult times of its modern history.
