Decision banning exporting oxygen effective for one year as of mid-July: Trade min.

Egypt’s Minister of Trade Nevine Gamea issued a decision to keep the ban on exporting oxygen effective for one year as of mid-July unless upon the approval of the ministers of health and trade and industry.

The decision is to be published in the official gazette.

The first decision was issued in 2021 within the framework of the comprehensive plan of the state to protect the citizens from the repercussions of the coronavirus and provide the needs of hospitals and other medical facilities of oxygen for medical purposes, Assistant Trade Minister for Economic Affairs Ibrahim el Segeny said.

He said that it is necessary to keep the decision effective in order to provide liquefied oxygen for medical services.
