President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is heading to Moscow on Wednesday to lead Egypt’s delegation to the third Russia-Africa Summit, scheduled for October 28–29.
Presidency Spokedman Mohamed El-Shennawy said this will be El-Sisi’s third participation in the summit.
He attended the first summit, held in Sochi in October 2019 under the joint chairmanship of the Egyptian and Russian presidents, when Egypt held the African Union presidency.
He also took part in the second summit, held in St Petersburg in 2023.
El-Shennawy added that El-Sisi is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s address at the summit’s plenary session on Thursday morning.
He will also hold several bilateral meetings on the sidelines, including a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
