Russia and Egypt are actively expanding their co-operation, including in the energy sector, President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday.
“One of our largest joint projects is the construction of a nuclear power plant, financed primarily through multibillion-dollar state loans from Russia,” Putin said at a summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum.
He described the project as progressing successfully with the support of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and said he hoped to see him in Moscow soon for the Russia-Africa forum, TASS reported.
