As part of the government’s ongoing follow‑up of strategic investment projects, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly chaired a meeting to review progress on the implementation of the Ras El‑Hekma development project, in the presence of Housing Minister Randa El‑Menshawy, senior housing officials, and representatives of Abu Dhabi‑based Modon Holding.
Madbouly stressed the government’s commitment to closely monitoring all phases of the project and providing the necessary support to ensure implementation proceeds according to schedule, in co-ordination with the Emirati partner. He described Ras El‑Hekma as a flagship model of Egyptian‑Emirati investment partnership and a reflection of the strategic ties between the two countries.
The meeting reviewed the latest implementation status and ongoing works, as well as co‑ordination mechanisms between Egyptian authorities and Modon Holding to accelerate execution and achieve the project’s investment and development targets.
The government said the project aligns with Egypt’s strategy of attracting foreign direct investment and strengthening partnerships with major international companies, supporting economic development and diversification of income sources.
Ras El‑Hekma is expected to drive urban and tourism development on the North Coast through an integrated destination featuring tourism, investment and service activities. The project is also expected to boost hotel capacity, attract more tourists, support the tourism sector’s contribution to the economy, and create thousands of direct and indirect jobs across construction, tourism, hospitality and logistics sectors.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on maintaining close co‑ordination with the Emirati partner, ensuring regular monitoring of implementation rates, and accelerating progress to maximise the project’s economic and social returns.
