Egypt’s Minister of State for Military Production, Salah Suleiman Gomblat, commended the dedicated efforts of the ministry’s workforce, highlighting their vital role in driving national industrial growth and bolstering domestic production.
This came on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of Military Production Day. It commemorates the production of the first Egyptian-made round of ammunition at Shubra For Engineering Industries (Military Factory 27), one of the ministry’s subsidiaries.
In a statement marking the milestone, the minister praised on Friday the personnel across state-owned factories and industrial complexes for their continuous contributions to both defence manufacturing and civil industry projects.
He emphasised that the workforce remains the backbone of the sector, playing an instrumental role in reducing import reliance, advancing technology transfer, and supporting the nation’s broader economic stability.
The minister reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to modernising production capabilities, investing in human capital, and expanding partnerships with local and international stakeholders.
